Andrew luck to colts?

I think whoever is there at the #1 pick is taking Andrew Luck. I'm almost certain no one would ever trade that pick, for no matter how much value, unless another team basically offered their picks that year and their picks the next year.

You don't pass up on a player like Andrew Luck, the same way that Indianapolis wouldn't have passed up on Peyton Manning.

It could be that if the Colts draft Luck next year, Peyton would be released. (I've heard somewhere that the Colts could cut Manning after this year and won't have to pay him another penny of that contract he signed recently. Could be wrong though)

If that is the case, maybe next time Peyton will encourage cats to come out and get drafted when they for sure will be the number one pick, or just keep his mouth shut.:D

I think I'm in for a L O N G season. Shades of the 1980's! The only difference is no Rod Dowhower! Wait, we have Jim Caldwell! Yep, LONG season!

Colts won't cut Peyton, there would be riot in Indy if that happened. If Peyton can't come back, he will retire. Manning really doesn't have anything left to prove!

Is this the same Andrew Luck who lost all the QB awards to a QB who the media is now claiming has so much "mechanical issues?" Amazing how empty hype really works.

IF the Colts end up with the number 1 over all, they would be stupid to cut Peyton right away. Let Luck sit a year behind the smartest, and maybe the best QB that has ever played the game. Manning has already said that he doesnt want to hurt the team, so he will restructure, and Luck will barely receive a bigger contract than Cam did.

It would just be funny if they did cut him though. Hehe, that would be the last time he would be giving advice to these young kids, they may just take your job.:D

With that said, I would rather Luck go to another team. I have no interest in seeing the Colts rule for another decade or two.

Ok, I thought this was sheer non-sense... I figured Jim Caldwell would want to keep his job.

But get a load of this...

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82230204/article/colts-seeking-eventual-manning-successor-polian-says?module=HP11_headline_stack

A Colts spokesman confirmed that Polian was in North Carolina over the weekend to watch Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck. The game also served as a family reunion for the Polians, whose son, Brian, is an assistant at Stanford. Polian has a home in North Carolina, where he plans to retire.

"You look at every position, and Peyton and I did talk when we did his last contract that the time is approaching to look at new quarterbacks and we have to evaluate whether they could be starting quarterbacks for the Indianapolis Colts," Polian said.

"We took a look at a couple of quarterbacks last year, they didn't fall to us. But had they, we may have taken them. We're going to scout them (quarterbacks) as if we will take them, but that's a long process between now and then (the draft)."

Holy fuggin hell. For NFL.com to run this article and report Polian's comments is full disclosure in my book. This would be like CNN.com showing a video of Obama saying "I've just come back from the alien's homeworld." in regard to alien conspiracy theories.

This also lends some support for the "Luck talked out of declaring to avoid Carolina".

Andrew Luck will be a Colt this time next year it looks like. They will have a new HC too probably.
