Collins Played in the Superbowl and even led the Panthers to the playoffs... i don't even know if Garrard ever made the playoffs.

Well, that explains part of it.

You need to bone up on your info before you make statements like X player > Y player.

Garrard took the Jags to the playoffs being in the same Division as the Peyton Manning Colts in 2007.

He's no slouch. Go read up on him. Had be been on a better team in a weaker division, he would have had a much more rewarding career to this point.

I'd take Garrard over Collins any day and the Jags really fugged him with such a late release.

I really wish they wouldn't let players just come out retirement any time they want.

No way. Kerry Collins is probably the most under-appreciated player in the league. He is a good QB.

From Blackcatgrowl I give you this:

Garrard is better in every statistical category. He's more accurate. He's more mobile. Garrard tied the record for fewest interceptions in a year (only 3) in 2007 and helped the Jaguars to an 11-5 record. If that team was in a number of other divisions in the NFC or AFC they would have been to the playoffs several years while he was leading them.

Links to stats are listed in his post as well.
