A few notes and points before we face the angry birds on sunday

I didn't read all of that, but those giving us no shot Sunday are off base. Arizona's oline is poo. Underrated dline though. The Cardinals can bring pressure, but I think our Oline can handle it.

Someone on twitter also reminded me that McDermott knows Kolb very well, and could have some stuff up his sleeve with Rivera for our Defense.

Valid point, though sadly the reverse is also true. Kolb has seen plenty of our defensive scheme.

The question will be who executes.

Reason for pessimism: Ken Whisenunt called a pretty good game against the Eagle defense in the 2008 playoffs.

Reason for optimism: He had Kurt Warner under center back then, not Kevin Kolb.

you've also got to consider the rivera effect on the defense.

Actually if McDermott does his homework he won't blitz Kolb on every down. Kolb is actually pretty good under pressure because he can dump off the ball short which is his strong suit. Personally I would rush 4, cover all the underneath routes and double Fitz. Kolb would be awful and we will stop the running game. Frankly we could score 17 points and win.

If we all out blitz we will be playing into their hand and increase the chance we lose. IMO.

If he were still in Andy Reid's offense, I might agree.

In this offense, I'd test him.

should be noted, Kolb saw the legendary Philly D being carried on by McD......

Rivera made it known this would be his D so realistically there should be plenty thrown at him he didn't see in the Philly practices based off what he ran in SD and Chicago.

I think we will test him and see how he does. If it works then keep it up. If he beats it, then change strategies. I know, I know after 9 years of Fox, it is hard to even think we could make in-game corrections to account for how the other team is playing.
