A few notes and points before we face the angry birds on sunday

I agree with you man. I think as weird as this preseason has been, I think we have some talent. I'm getting a kind of Bad News Bears vibe off our guys this season. There's nothing I can put my finger on, and on paper/at first glance, there are parts of our team that bode to perform terribly. Still, I have a sneaking suspicion the Panthers aren't gonna be the punching bag everyone thinks they are.

I agree, I mean argue with a position per position breakdown.

CB: Panthers

S: Cardinals

LB: Panthers by like a million

DT: Cards (if you want to count Dockett, otherwise push)

DE: Panthers

OL: Panthers

TE: Panthers

WR: Cardinals

RB: Panthers by like a million again

QB: Push

6-3.

We are the better team.

we opened as a 7 pt dog. . .

i just want to see progress from preseason to this game and from game to game in general

lines are about what the mass public will do in terms of betting. Not an actual breakdown of the result of team A vs. team B. Who out there would even think of putting money on Carolina (outside our market) without at least getting 7.

the lines have some vig on them, but you are sorely mistaken if you think they do not represent relative equity. i specifically posted the line b/c we are a 7 pt dog, which is pretty large. were we a 4 or even 5 pt dog i would not have mentioned it (given that hfa is worth a few points)

edit: we are also like +275 or something if you wanted to bet us straight up, which is a bit better than 25%. yes we are prob undervalued (a bit) but not enough to swing the pendulum towards being a better team. of course i hope we win anyway :) and we certainly could, but i am trying to be realistic
