They voted yesterday and were supposed to announce today. Not exactly sure what happened but I saw some tweets from players suggesting a problem with "hanging chads".

This surprised me because I didn't know we had any players named Chad, let alone two, but they must have really pissed somebody off if they went as far as to hang them.

That's interesting. That sounds like they are suggesting it is a close vote and maybe a recount is in order ala Bush/Kerry 2000.

If I had my foil hat on I'd say that the final Captain selection is a near tie between Cam & Smitty, and maybe it's something different guys have strongly different points of view on.

It's not paranoia if they really are out to get you.

If Cam was voted as captain and Smitty wasn't, Cam would be handing that captain patch to Smitty. He's too humble I think, to take it over a proven vet and icon on this team.

Of course, I can't see Smitty not getting it.

On the flip side though, if the players collectively vote to have Cam wear that "C" on his jersey, that's a huge sign of trust and hopefully it would help boost his confidence that he can lead this team versus put extra pressure on the kid.

We'll find out today I guess.

I don't know why people automatically assume Smitty gets a C patch. He's not been the greatest mentor, talked about getting traded because the team was basically worthless on offense. Not sure if that is captain worthy.
