I love Ole Glory as much as, and more than, the next guy.

Technically, though, wearing a flag designed piece of clothing and wearing the flag as clothing are two totally different things.

I was asking if you thought it was offensive... I think gestures like these are patriotic.

It'd be different if people took a flag and tore it or cut it up into pieces and made some article of clothing out of it.

But taking the flag and draping it around your shoulders to show your love and respect for your country or wearing a piece of equipment designed to look like the flag for the same reason is something to be proud of IMO.

i just dont care for it. ive seen it on tshirts, the ass of jeans, shoes, whatever. i might not agree with the government, but i do love our country, and the flag that represents it. if people want to wear this stuff it's their choice.

I don't know that wearing the gloves, shoes or hats really matters. it is a great symbolic gesture but in the end, September 11 isn't about a day but the American spirit being rekindled through the flames of terrorism. It is about what is on the inside instead of an outwardly display. What we learned from that day. And above all never to forget those people who showed compassion toward strangers and risked their lives for others and in the end perished. But 911 is not for the victims but the survivors. Forever changed, all of us.

does the nfl need to adopt more color motifs? So because it's ten years, and nobody felt last year's anniversary was special enough to wear star spangled accessories, now we need to do this?
