Taking a look at college football's best WR.

Just watched a highlight reel that was 5 minutes long wasn't that good. So he finds soft spots in college zones, not that easy in the NFL. His speed looks average so he better be physical, but again it's a new ballgame in the NFL when proven DB's jam you at the line and your athletic ability isn't enough anymore.

That seems pretty opinionated to me. For starters, 4.4 certainly isn't slow. But it seems like you are just discrediting all his positives and saying that they won't translate based on nothing. You could say that about any player. The fact that you have to discredit 3 or 4 things in one post to say they won't translate shows just how complete he is..

And good luck jamming a 6'4" strong Receiver at the line in the modern NFL where touching a WR is enough to warrant a penalty with some officiating crews..

A.J. has the top end speed though' date=' that's something that can't be taught. You either have it or you don't, and imo Alshon doesn't. I honestly think we should go CB in round one next year and wait till 2013 to get an elite WR, that is if Gettis doesn't develop into one....[/quote']

You can think the Panthers will have a Top 5 pick next year and that's fine with me. I for one have higher expectations, as I always do.

Top prospect WR's have been going high lately anyways..

I don't want a CB in the draft next year. For starters noone has stood out yet. Secondly, I trust Rivera and McDermott to make gold out of poo on the defensive side of the ball, but more importantly-I just like Jeffery or Kalil more than any defensive prospect out there. I think you gotta go offense unless none of our young DT's or CB's show any promise-which is a stretch considering how many we have and the brilliance of the coaching staff we have.

Like I said there's no way in hell he's a 4.4 guy....even in the dash....

Not to be rude, but does it really matter what you think?

I mean if the guy is a 4.4 he's a 4.4....the stopwatch certainly doesn't have any bias, and it's not like we're seeing Jeffery get run down from behind in the highlight reel.

This is kind of a foolish statement. How many times have we heard so and so runs a 4.3 in college only for them to get to the combine and run a 4.5? The stopwatch, or the operator of said stopwatch lies plenty bro....

Blackmon had another great game tonight and has 14 straight 100 yard receiving game. I have always liked Jeffery better but you truly can't go wrong. Like I have said before and others in this thread, AJ Green is a better WR prospect than both. But you still have to give a lot of consideration to both of these guys.

As I said, I take Floyd over Blackmon, but I challenge you to watch Jeffery play before coming to a final decision.

It's pretty laughable the way you discredit Blackmon's abilities as a receiver in this thread. And that 4.46 40 is bogus, but I won't deny Jeffrey is a stud the way you deny a WR that has 14 straight 100 yard games has any good qualities .

BTW that pie was accidental

you mean the guy who struggled with the lowly lions and is now a good wr?

Lol.

Blackmon has dwayne jarrett written all over him. Can go up and make nice catches against weak college teams, but his skill set isn't much beyond that.

I take jeffery who is an absolute playmaker every day.

lol
