Taking a look at college football's best WR.

I think the SEC is the best conference in the nation. I don't have a dog in this fight and have no bias.

Honestly, if I had to pick between AJ and JB, I'm taking Malcolm Floyd.

Floyd's DUI's worry me. He could turn into the next Dwayne Jarrett in that respect....

Honestly, if we were in a position last year where Jeffery was off the board and Blackmon was there, I think I would rather trade down and nab Floyd.

I just don't trust Blackmon.

He's always stuck in traffic having to go up for balls, which is great for ESPN highlight reels, but at only 6'1", he isn't going to have that dominance in the NFL.

Jeffery is just great at finding the soft spot in coverage, and making a play.

Very TO, like, minus the sit up's and the drive way and the temper tantrums.

My problem with Jeffery is that he lacks the speed to gain separation from defenders. He really is a lot like Dwayne was at USC. DJ was absolutely unstoppable against DB's who he had comparable speed to or who weren't as good at covering a WR. As soon as he got to the NFL it didn't matter how good his hands were because he couldn't gain separation from the defender and wasn't a very good route runner. I see a lot of the same qualities in AJ....

So, with Blackmon having a slower 40 time, it means you are hesitant to take him too, correct?

As I said, I take Floyd over Blackmon, but I challenge you to watch Jeffery play before coming to a final decision.

I really don't think any of these WRs are can't miss prospects to be honest. If we wanted a cant miss guy at wide out we missed that boat when we passed on A.J. Green. All three of the big WR have issues this year, however the depth at WR this year may not be too shabby....

So either admit he's perfect or you're biased?

Awesome, a KT clone without the race card.

Not sure where you are coming from.

You've gotta understand that as much as I love the 'Cocks, I am first and foremost a Carolina Panther fan by a large, large margin.

I wouldn't want us to draft a player because of personal biases if I felt another player was better, and would help the Panthers a lot more.

You have seen me clamoring for another CB to replace Munnerlyn have you not?

I want us to start preparing a WR of the future this offseason, and I think Jeffery is the best available.

Just watched a highlight reel that was 5 minutes long wasn't that good. So he finds soft spots in college zones, not that easy in the NFL. His speed looks average so he better be physical, but again it's a new ballgame in the NFL when proven DB's jam you at the line and your athletic ability isn't enough anymore.

I WAS a super homer for Green. He's from my hometown and a personal acquaintance of mine. I toted that Green was a can't miss prospect and there was gonna be nobody else like him for some time.

I was right about Green being a can't miss prospect-but wrong in that noone else would come close to him for a while- Alshon has just blown my mind, and he is close to AJ level in my mind-not there yet-but another great season could put him there I feel. The guy just does everything great.

A.J. has the top end speed though, that's something that can't be taught. You either have it or you don't, and imo Alshon doesn't. I honestly think we should go CB in round one next year and wait till 2013 to get an elite WR, that is if Gettis doesn't develop into one....

    • I mean that’s not an argument I go with… But in ACC play, both Clemson and SMU covered the spread more than Miami.  Miami didn’t cover in 3 games.
