I'm deciding to reward myself with something nice. So, what should I get that's in the 300-500 range?

I'm thinking some options (what seems like the best?):

223 Remington cal or 243 Winchester (can't make up my mind)

lens camera

midi keyboard

A bunch of franzia

Invest in beanie babies

Studio monitors

Y'all can go to town on this now with some ridiculous ideas :D haha

I would get the 243 ~~ use to have one hate I got rid of it:(

This if its used for fun/target shooting. If he wants to do some serious hunting the .243 is my choice.

You can hunt with that gun, but I prefer at least a .270 to shoot good sized deer.

I shoot a .308 when deer hunting. Varmint and everything else gets the AR 15.

A .308 sounds actually enticing and I'm looking for starting hunting rifle

I'm use to shooting a 12 gage shotgun, 7 mag, & .22 rifle

I want something more powerful than a .22 and kinda prefer a little bit of kick

Get the .308. It's a Nato round, and if things ever go to poo...there will be plenty of ammo.

Not to mention it shoots on a much flatter pattern than the other rifles out there.
