Updates on Cam

Weren't people excited about Moore last season?

Different circumstance. But with Cam, it's a big breath of fresh air with what he brings to the table.

I'm excited, like others. Speaking for myself, I wasn't excited with Moore.. because he had never played a full season, so I expected the possibility of him getting rattled.

I hope Cam does great things, for himself, for the team, for the franchise and his fans.

He's very young and very talented.

My only wish for him is when things don't go well, and they won't, that he stays the same guy and just learns from it.

I live in Raleigh of course, and the true second coming of QB, say some, Andrew Luck is at Duke this weekend in Durham and I swear to you, nothing would make me happier than winning some how in Arizona and the lowly Duke team to bust Stanford...wishful thinking I know.

Yes R-P, this would be great, but alas old Devil Cat has spent many a sad saturday at old Walllace Wade (during my son's matriculation there) wishing we could beat teams like Richmond....Stanford.....no way. BTW GO Cam !. GO Panthers!

not to this level, and esp. not from the team.

Point being all it takes is a horrible game and the huddle quickly loses their excitement.

i think the overall confidence level going into this year is higher than it was last year. there was so much uncertainty going into the season b/c fox & co being in what everyone knew as their final year, so many of the teams leaders had been let go, and then there was the upcoming lockout. no one knew what was going to happen and players were preoccupied. morale wasn't particularly high, either. it was just a perfect storm for a team that never really set the bar all that high, either. i mean this was the team being run by the coach who wanted to win just enough games to get by and that played not to lose.

i love that the team has high expectations. you don't hear them talking about a lot of wins, but you hear them talk about how they are going to be doing some good things out there and that they feel good about what's happening. they aren't going to be a team that is going to bend over like last year. thes guys aren't cocky or arrogant (which is good b/c they don't have any room or reason to be) but they are confident.
