Manning's playing days could well be done, which would be tragic. The neck isn't something I would jeopardize. He just had a baby, has a ring and is a lock for first ballot HoF, simply not worth the risk.

If Houston doesn't take the division this year, they never will.

It's practically a gimme if Payton is gone for the year, but I think they're going to struggle on D converting to Phillips' 3-4 and I don't see Williams converting to rush OLB very well- this season at least.

Knowing the colts and polian, they'll get the pick, draft luck and have im learn under one of the greatest. Think about Manning playing next year and maybe the year after with Luck learning for two underneath..holy frick.

They will win some games this year without Manning. Probably go 7-9. Just be good enough to not get a great pick, but suck enough to be irrelevant.

he's probably done. Nerves never grew back in his neck, severe lower back pain when he throws, and no throwing power. 3 and you're out.

Payton is one of those guys i know is not going to give up that easy but i really dont see how he is going to bounce back from this one.

Yeah, I hate it for him too. He'll be known as a legendary QB of our time. To be forced out of the game for an injury/surgery gone wrong, is a down-note end to an amazing career.

Yep. The rumors were true. Wow. This might sound silly considering he plays for another team, but I'm hoping for a recovery for him. Terrible news.
