only thing to do is go out to eat? and Charlotte is soooo much better than Raleigh? y'all are too much..

going out to eat for a 1st date is so boring..

however, good luck PC.. hope you have a blast..

Shoot if it was me i would take her muddin & 4 wheeling then cook her a nice meal. But i live out in the country and she may not be into such things.

plenty of shows, live music, comedy around Raleigh to have a good time.. (obviously not in Charlotte lol)

if you hit it off, go get a drink afterwards..

you can sit down and eat with someone any time.. so original and refreshing..

I don't think it will be cold enough to sleet tonight. But when it does, feel free to shoot it. :)

Btw, sounds like you and grits would be the perfect couple, if you were 15. ;)

I don't like the really expensive type dates either, it will be a late evening night time date. I am meeting him at Carolina Place Mall, and we will go somewhere from there.........he said he wished there was a home game this weekend since he was going to be in town and I love the Panthers. He would take me to the game but he is a Falcons fan :( I know strike one already LOL.............

Just going to roll with it I guess.............

If you need a practice date, I'm available. I'm told I'm fun to date, but not marrying material. (Whatever that means.)

You might want to drive by this and check it out. I used to like to take my first dates to a place on Park Rd and E Woodlawn. Under the Total Wine, you can take an elevator down or park on the sides and walk in. There's a nice bar that serves finger food, and Chinese place and a ice cream place. It behind a big hedge on Woodlawn.

On Friday's and Saturday nights, they usually have a 1-2 piece band there. Sometimes a guy or girl with a guitar or maybe a electric piano. There's all sorts of room to sit outside, relax, chat and listen to some pretty good music.

BUT, it's been a few years since I have taken anyone there. So you may want to check it out and make sure they still do before you actually go there.

Past that, I will share some of my other great 1st date places:

Cajun Queen (Can be loud at times. Try the bread pudding. Better yet, share the bread pudding!)

(704) 377-9017

1800 E 7th St (Lamar Avenue)

Charlotte, NC 28204

Amos Southend (Sometimes a little iffy, and can be loud)

(704) 377-6874

1423 S Tryon St

Charlotte, NC 28203

Village Tavern (VERY pricey, good food, but overpriced in my book)

(704) 552-9983

4021 Congress St Ste 190

Charlotte, NC 28209

Charley's (Friendly wait staff, good food, reasonably priced, good beer My personal favorite!)

(704) 366-8422

274 S Sharon Amity Rd

Charlotte, NC 28211

Maggiano's (VERY pricey, Great food, you have to dress up a bit. Share the Strawberry shortcake! It's a sugar rush!)

(704) 916-2300

4400 Sharon Road

Charlotte, NC28211

Wild Wing Café (Finger food, may not be good on the first date. Casual dress. Still a good place to go.)

(704) 708-9453

711 West Mallard Creek Church Road

Charlotte, NC 28262

Cajun Queen and Charley's are my favorites. I have never had a date complain after taking them there.

OK, this will probably get my Man-Card revoked, but I am the female equivalent of Will Smith in "Hitch"! I have gotten more women engaged than the Millionaire Match Maker! Why, you ask? (Go ahead, ask.) Because I'm willing to share with women on how a man's subconscious works! (Scary at best!)

Unless you expect to go to bed with this guy on the first date, don't wear a dress! Dresses on the first date signal to a guy that he's going to get lucky! The shorter the dress the better his chances are!

Shorts, depend on how short the shorts are. Bermuda shorts, might as well be pants. Short shorts, means, there a VERY good chance that if you get her a few drinks, they are coming off!

Slacks, pants or jeans, means to a man, you are lucky to get a kiss good night on the first date!

Body language is everything! If you smile a lot, touch his arm, laugh at his jokes/stories, you are telling him your interested in him. Conversely, if you do the opposite, you are telling him that there won't be a second date. ALL MEN KNOW THIS!

Maxxim Magazine says if the woman won't kiss you by the 3rd date, she's not interested in you. Further more, if she won't go to bed by the 5th date, dump her and move on. EVERY man knows this! This is not a hard and fast rule, but again, EVERY MAN KNOWS THIS! And they keep score! (SO remember this!) If there's not a snowball's chance in **** that you won't end up in bed by X numbers of dates, don't string him along. (Probably, 95% - he will loose interest before that anyway and move on.)

By the 5th date, one of you will probably want to cook for the other one. Why? 1) is to show off. (If a guy can prove to a woman that he's capable of cooking something without burning it up, women like that. And vice-versa.) 2) to end up in bed! Usually the kids are at their spouses, baby sitter, Parents, etc.

I could go on, but this will get you started. My record it having a woman proposed to in 6 dates! (Not saying that is what you want.) The guy never knew what hit him! And to my knowledge, they are still married.

Blame Maxxim Magazine. Just as you are going to share with your girlfriends you dates, he's sharing with his buddies! And he's sharring a entirely diffferent set of markers than you are!

Have Fun!
