Patriots fans pretty happy on Butler Release

Hope he plays better here.

Hot commodity? For an unfocused corner that bites at every fake?

Thank God, an awful player !

He sucked last year, in training camp he was getting smoked by Barnes and Ross. In the 1st preseason game the 3rd string Jags were owning him. Yet there were still tons of people of this site who thought he was playing well. LOL !

Where are all the Butler Butt boys now ? Telling us how this is a bad move. Doubt we'll hear from them.

This one saddens me as I was so excited when the Pats got him. Major disappointment. We waited for Butler to "make a f*cking play, Darius" like Brady shouted to him from the sideline last season, but it never happened. Officially a bust for us.

I watched DB from day 1 at UConn and I'll tell you that the problems he had here, he had there. He struggled to make a play on the ball when he had to turn and run with the wr.

Per @josephperson, #Panthers claim former #Patriots CB Darius Butler.

1st team in the waiver claim order...

Their secondary sucks. Not sure how this will help.

Butler never regressed because he was clueless from Day 1.

I would love to see him be successful, The PI calls are pretty bad but maybe he can change with a different coaching staff. The Pats had a bad secondary last year and of course the fans are going to blame someone. Don''t forget Meriweather was bad which could of effected the play of Butler. Corners sometimes need help from the safety, if the safety sucks then its not going to help the CB.

Pats fans are retarded anyhow so I don't care what they think.

he sounds like their version of everette brown

Difference is, Everette Brown never had the tools or abilities to be a dominant player in any role in this defense (predominantly 4-3).

Butler has the tools and abilities, it seems to be a matter of confidence with him, which it often is with CBs. He's gonna do fine here.
