Chad Pennington On The Herd Now; Working Our Game For Fox This Week

And this is why he sucks. This was the tweet they had up:

HerdOnESPNRadio Colin Cowherd

Chad Pennington is a smart guy! His thoughts on the young gun QB's in the NFL...NEXT in the HERD: es.pn/kAlujf

I tuned in on ESPNU, and this MF NEVER addressed the "young guns" to Pennington. Or at least he came up with his own version. This was the conversation:

You're working the Cards/Panthers game this week, what do you think about the young QB you'll be watching (I'm thinking, YES! Pennington is gonna breakdown Cam) Kevin Kolb?

(Pennington on Kolb, which I expect will then lead to the OTHER QB playing in this game. NOPE.)

What about Mark Sanchez?

(Chad on Sanchez, NY, etc.)

People in Dallas say Romo has matured...

(Chad on Romo)

What do you think about rookie QBs who might be starting by week 8, could it get ugly?

(Chad on this stupid question)

...

That was it... What a waste. This is why I hate Cowturd outside of Sportsnation, and even then he gets on my nerves. He's a kiss ass. All he does is talk big markets, and I don't know how many times I've heard him take shots at Charlotte. He glorifies big markets and trashes everyone else. And in some cases, as with this interview, just completely ignores them even if they are the bigger story.

What a disappointment.

Well,at least we know Pennington is doing our game this week, which I like. Always seemed like a smart guy, good player, someone whose opinion I will respect and will enjoy hearing what he does during the game.

Mods can close this, it was horrible.

he was my first choice for clipboard carrying backup. he was never spectacular as a player and he was made of glass, but his knowledge of the game has always been great. he would have been a great tutor for a young QB. for sure would have helped on the sidelines and in the classroom as that experienced set of eyes.

While I don't get into the "waa they didn't talk about us" stuff, it is debatable between who/what is the bigger story this weekend.

Kolb and his massive contract for not doing much in his career

Or

Cam and his considerably scaled back contract making his debut.

I'd say the bigger story is Kolb, coupled with Fitz and his record deal.

Am I off base?

Very possible, because we still don't have enough of a sample to justify Kolb's deal/contract.

I usually don't get into the "they didn't talk about us" stuff either, but Cowherd just irks me because he does it to ALL non-big market teams, not just us. He just seems to talk himself up a lot and then ties stuff into big markets/cities to endear himself to them.

And in this case, while Kolb is a big story, Cam is the only rookie Qb starting this week to my knowledge (correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't been keeping up with all of the others but I'm pretty sure they have someone in front of them for this week at least), and it just so happens Pennington is working the game with Kolb AND Cam. So, the bigger story? Debatable. Mention worthy, yes.

That was my problem, I wanted to hear him break it down from both sides.
