He's looked very good in the preseason, something doesn't add up here. All Hurney has to do is offer him 10 percent more than what the Pats were paying him, which is unknown since they didn't release his new contract info.

If we signed him, that gives us exactly what we need going into week1 because he can hold off the OL from Beason and the boys to make plays. At this point, I wouldn't even worry about teaching him strategy or schemes, just tell him go in there and play.

That being said, I don't see it happening.

Its going to take more than 10%, if we are going to get him, we are going to have to waaaay over pay. like 1 year and 4 million. Would love to be able to prorate a portion of the pay based on starts. 3 guaranteed, and maybe 500,000 for 8 starts. and another 500,000 for 12+ starts.
