Cam is the starter. Aceept it.

If Garrard was signed, he would start once he got familiar with the system. Garrard can still play ball, and at least lead a team (not the Panthers) to anywhere from 8 to 10 wins.

Rather have him than Anderson, but I think we're good with what we've got. However, if they want to cut Jimmy Clausen and sign Garrard....I'm all for that.

Obviously Anderson is the better choice because he worked with our OC years ago. I mean forget the fact he has been one of the worst quarterbacks in the league since this, he knows the playbook so he will be a perfect mentor!

Garrard could start and win games for us while Cam learned from a REAL quarterback and not a shitty QB who got benched for fuging John Skelton last year.

Our dilemma in a nutshell:

-We committed to start Cam week 1

-Garrard won't be ready to start anywhere if signed tomorrow

I just don't think it would make sense to start Cam off the bat, then sit him. If this were an option 2 weeks ago, then that would be a different story. I would in that case be 100% for this. I just don't see it happening unless Shula really wants him for some reason and convinces Chud, Rivera, & Hurney to sign him and start him week 1 (highly unlikely)

I would take him for the right amount of $ and with the understanding that the job is Cam's to lose at the moment.

Having said that, I suspect Garrard will want a situation where the job would be his to lose.
