We are going to get rolled!

I'm not worried about our offense at all. It's the defense, especially the interior. We can mask our unlimited supply of nickelbacks behind Gamble if we get pressure. If we don't hold stout in the middle, our defense is gonna have a hard time.

But, at least this year it will be interesting because our offense will actually be able to put up points, and should be able to put up quite a bit consistently.

Another SN, Cowherd is talking out of his ass again. Cam played against the Steelers starters on that series...

I think we will win. We beat them last year and this year they lost a vet CB their #2 WR, they have a rookie corner (Patterson may be good but he is still a rookie), Richard Marshall is in their secondary, and they only position they have really improved is at QB and Kolb was probably only decent in philly because of all the weapons they had. Hell other than for the Eagles, Vick has never had a season where his Qb rating was over 80 except once season where he had a QB rating of 81.

Kolb is a product of a great team and shouldn't matter much. The Cards have a decent secondary with a rookie Corner. The Cards don't run a lot and don't have a great run attack so we should be okay. Even if we do loose it wont be by much.

TBH the Cards should be fearing us. They have no game tape, No idea who our stars are besides Smith, and have to figure out what we are going to do on both offense and defense with what is said above. We are just as dangerous as the Cards at the moment.

Sure they do. Stop the run. Standard Smitty coverage......pressure the rookie QB (and there is enough tape to no his footwork goes to hell when pressured) and no every pass is going to a TE as no other WR can get open in single coverage.

I don't understand the unanimous thought that the Cards are going to blow the doors off us.

Sure they have the addition of Kolb, but i mean if we managed to beat them last year with Clausen why is it such a stretch this year....

you are failing to acknowledge what a hole it puts a team in when the learn a new system early in a season....we have new schemes on both sides of the ball........and had no OTA's etc. which makes the hole we start in HUGE.

Cards are inserting a new QB in an established scheme. That is pretty significant compared to what we are doing.

So he didn't factor in that we were running vanilla defensive schemes against those vanilla offensive schemes?

The zone-blitz scheme is all about scheming to create pressure, and we didn't show any fancy blitzes during the preseason... so it's a little early to say we're going to get rolled by anybody.

LOL @ anyone who predicts the season based on preseason performance... especially when it comes to scouting defenses.

Don't forget they have Todd Heap now but no more Breaston...and their expected star rookie in Ryan Williams is out for the year.

It'll be a close game

If we can stop the all mighty Beanie Wells & somehow plan to contain Fitz, we got em down pretty well imo

The only way I see us getting drubbed is if Armanti muffs a punt or if Goodsen fumbles a kick return right after they score. Some sort of fluke bullpoo that always seems to happen to my team at the worst possible time. Otherwise, it'll be close.

I agree. I pray that our preseason schemes were absolutely vanilla. They have to be, and with a good gameplan, we should be able to beat the cardinals. I'm really thinking we have a shot at this game.
