I seriously don't get the "He's just like Captain" thing. Because we could USE another Captain instead of moving our freaking safety to nickel and shuffling the whole secondary in the middle of every drive.

Not easier, just different.

Athleticism is more valuable at corner, while the ability to read and diagnose is more important at safety.

That's not to say those qualities are unimportant at either spot, mind you, just a different balance.

Our rebuild is going to take some time, so I'm not getting too emo over stuff like this. We'll target CB pretty hardcore next year I'm sure.

That said, just lol at our Dline and secondary. We're in for some really ugly games this season.

a good safety has to have good instincts... Godfrey doesn't. Interested to see what Pugh does with his opportunities. I personally like the guy.

You know what really chaps my ass. They say there are no good CBs left out there, but there was one perfectly good CB available named Carlos Rogers and we totally dropped the ball.

Well this shows how much our staff believes in the corners we have behind Captain. I hope this works out for us. Maybe it would be better to have Godfrey as CB instead of a safety? could this be the beginning of Godfrey converting into a corner? What can we expect from having Godfrey in this postion?

This is also great news for Pugh who will get a lot more playing time. Pugh could eventually take Godfrey's job. The coaches are already in love with Pugh and we all already know how good Godfrey is so his days here could be numbered.

Godrey walk down to CB, Pugh walks from sideline to S.....not much shuffling

He's not much of a safety either.

And Martin is hands down the better safety out of him and Godfrey, so if someone has to move, might aswell be Charles.
