Hurney likes where we are at Cornerback per Reed

Hurney said he "liked the guys we had" at receiver a few years back too.

A day later, they signed Keyshawn Johnson.

What Hurney doesn't say is often as important as what he says.

good point.

there have been quite a few times that he has said one thing and then turned right around and done something else. the media many times are useful to him in negotiations.

btw...i don't see how they could be happy with their CBs and i don't see that he said that they were. all i saw was that he said they weren't in love with the available options. doesn't mean he feels good about what he has in house.

Um...Where does it say that Hurney likes where we are cornerback?? Don't you guys get tired of misconstruing people's statements?

Even if he said that specifically, what does it mean?

A few years back, it was "we like the guys we have at receiver" which was a true statement, but did not preclude them bringing in someone else in addition to the guys that they already had and liked.

Hurney is a master of verbal flexibility.

I understand that, but him not liking the vets out there doesn't mean he likes where we are at the position. Doesn't rule out a trade, it could mean anything. Typical vague statement by Hurney, he'll never come right out and say what he thinks
