Panthers 7 point road dogs...

Objective me has us winning or losing by 7 points. Biased me says we either lose tight or win by two scores or more. I really get the feeling we are going to come out MUCH differently than we played in the preseason and we're going to catch teams off guard due to that. And because of Cam's legs. That will be a huge factor. If he can make the throws he needs to make and keep the defense honest with his legs if something isn't there, we win this game handily, in my biased opinion.

Again, realistically, if we win by a field goal or a TD, or lose that way, it wouldn't surprise me and it is what should be expected.

The issue won't be our offense but our defense. If we can keep them under 20 then we will have a chance to win. If we keep them to 14 or less, we have a real good chance to win. To do that, we have to contain their running game, Kolb needs to cave under pressure (instead of look like an all-pro). And we need to double Fitz all day.

Otherwise we don't win in a shoot out and we haven't shown we can catch up in a hurry if we need to. We need to have success early while containing them to gain some confidence on the road.

I really, really don't get all the Kevin Kolb love. Not here, but the general feeling across the NFL that he's a good QB. In the preseason, he threw for one TD and took three sacks. In the regular season, he's been mediocre at best, throwing more INTs than TDs, and getting only six and a half yards per attempt. He's also got a losing record as a starter, on a team that's a winner.

Why would anyone be afraid of him?

but, but, but ESPN says that he is the bestest QB out there. He must be a stud.

Kolb is NOT a great QB. Never was and never will be.

He played on very good Philly teams and did NOT lead them to victories. He is going to fall hard in the desert.
