Peyton Manning's back grew increasingly sore over the weekend, and even if that wasn't becoming a problem, he still hasn't made the kind of progress after summer neck surgery that makes him likely to play in Houston in six days. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported that Manning, concerned over the slow healing from his May 23 surgery to repair a bulging disk in his neck, is being re-evaluated by several doctors. "No other procedure planned now," said Mortensen, via Twitter.

Surgery or not, the slow recovery is troubling....sounds like the throwing motion is reliant on full recovery, but that might be in doubt considering his progress to this point. His ability to make all his starts in his career may have overshadowed the trouble he is having with this injury.
