I would take Armanti over Clowney any day of the week. We must have been watching different Clowns. Would rather they have cut Clausen than Clowney though. I just never want us to have Clausen in another regular season game.

This is Armanti's year that his pick was used. He's had exactly one lameduck year to progress. Clowney has had one 4 years in the league and has done a whole lot of jack sh!t. Armanti has shown more flashes this preseason at two positions than Clowney has. Clowney caught one long pass against 3rd stringers whoopy.

You can never tell which justification method the huddle's logic is going to apply to the subject SMF, so there is no reason to argue. Some rookies suck because Fox was a lame duck and other rookies seem to be a bust because they couldn't play under a lame duck coach. Other rookies suck because someone else sucked (o-line). Armanti flashed some good stuff in camp and in the Giants preseason game... apparently that was enough to make the coaching staff feel like he has quite a bit of upside.

Clowney on the other hand is a straight-line speed guy and that's about it.
