David Clowney waived, yet Armanti makes the team again?

It's pretty simple... Armanti only had one year under a coaching staff that didn't give a crap and we spent so much on him it'd be foolish to give up on it right now. If he doesn't play well this season, then fine...

I don't think this is even worth discussing really...

fwiw, and that's probably not much, I think he has enough potential to keep, so I'm fine with it.

I respect the hell out of Clowney for giving it his all but the man has been around for some time now. If he was going to make a leap to the next level he would have done it by now. We have LaFell, and guys like Naane and (the new guy/cant spell his name) who are practically coming out of the same situation he did.

Armanti does have potential, as much as you don't like to hear it. We've got unknowns and for the lack of a better word scrubs right now at WR, keeping Clowney doesn't some how boost that situation.

how has clowney showed himself to be more worthy a roster spot? we keep clowney because you don't think the edwards pick was a bad decision?

seems that edwards is more versatile. probably kept because of that. also edwards hasn't nearly come close to peaking as clowney may have peaked into a mediocre at best receiver.

not trying to argue, btw...just wondering why so high on clowney over edwards or if it's just edwards you don't like.

David Clowney looks and feels like an NFL receiver. He isn't extremely awkward when running his routes or catching passes in traffic like Armanti Edwards is. You at least have a chance of Clowney catching a pass when there's a defender within a couple of yards of him unlike Armanti Edwards. Armanti ONLY can catch passes when he's nearly wide open.

well I guess he is younger, can field punts, return kicks, is faster, has the ability to make players miss and has only played WR for a year so he could end up becoming better than Clowney. We already know what Clowney is capable of but we don't know what Edwards can do once he fully learns the WR position.

I am with you though, I wanted Clowney to make the team and I hate we gave up so much for him when we could of more than likely picked him up in the 7th round of the draft. We could of had our #2 CB if we didn't trade a retarded trade to obtain him.

I can only say one thing, Don't hate Edwards because we gave up a lot to get him instead hate Hurney for being a dumb @$$ and making the dumbest trade in panthers history.
