If anyone wants to know about this player from someone that actually watched him play all preseason.

Look at how bad our corner situation is: both of our starters have not played a single snap of preseason and have been hurt since early August

We've been starting Alan Ball at corner

We released Thomas anyways

Never said I watched him play all preseason. I mentioned his skill set. I wanted him out of Buffalo a couple drafts ago, and I know what the typical CB in the JJ looks like.

What this really is about: The lack of social skills, the need for attention, and the inability to leave middle school in the rearview.

fwiw, this is the scouting report from nfl.com... sounds a lot more optimistic than the other ones:

Thomas has the upside to potentially turn into a starting corner with some improved awareness and overall refinement to his game. At this stage, has the size, coverage skills, and hands to provide quality depth as a backup. Can hold up in man, will press effectively and has the athleticism to stick with and trail receivers. Zone coverage instincts are still developing, but can locate his man and make open field tackles in the flats. Hands are good and can extend away from his body for an interception. Has the right mentality against the run, just needs some more consistency. Thomas is a Day 3 prospect.

The thing is, last time I checked, the Cowboys CB position was a huge question mark, and this guy got cut.

Many of their fans and media question how good Newman is now and if he was worth the money he's making... He supposedly was close to being cut... Then they have Jenkins who looked horrible at times last year. And IIRC just extended Scandrick who they like, who I thought was their NB last year, but could be wrong...

And this guy seems to have good numbers and was well-regarded in college, yet, he got cut?
