I would love to see us get a shut down corner to go with Gamble this year. But who is out there that would be an upgrade to the Captain? I can name perhaps 2 or 3 guys that if we get them, would be great.

In the meantime, I like the Captain. He is admittedly short but size alone doesn't limit your potential. Revis is only 2 inches taller than the Captain so size must not be the only criteria. He is a battler who competes for the ball all the way down the field. He makes some good plays and is a solid tackler.

Honestly, if we gave him safety help on the deep ones, he could be servicable. Yeah I want a big shut down corner too. But until then I like the Captain, surely enough not to want to throw him under the bus.

I like captains heart and fight 2, but he is a nickel corner skill wise. If he were on a team that rushed the qb well like the packers or colts I think you might be able to hide him. But with the minimal pass rush that we will generate I believe he will get beat deep often this year. The only thing I could see us doing is rolling coverages to his side, leaving gamble on an island with teams 1 wrs....

If we go into week 1 with captain as the 2nd corner he will be the worst starting corner in the NFL. I like the guy but athletically he doesn't have the tools to play on the outside. Add on the fact that we get zero pass rush and captain well only got exposed more. We need to sign a vet to hold down that spot until we can find a more viable long term option in the draft next year, I wonder what Ken Lucas is doing.......

No, but he played their last 2 preseason games against the Bucs and Cowboys and looked pretty good in both.

His knee probably won't last a full season, but I'd put him a notch above Richard Marshall at this point in his career. We would be a good pick up for us, I think.

No idea if anything happens tonight, but the current configuration of the roster makes it look like they plan to make some moves.

No doubt they feel they can upgrade DT,cb and guard ...the roster spot are there for them.I would not be surprised if they try to upgrade a wr.I spoke to Beason yesterday and all he would say is that they better get a good DT that can get some push in the middle ...he did not seem to have names or specific information
