You really believe that?

Hanson was the guy who was going to be our starter, then other teams got interested and we backed off. Sissied out. Have no room for proven veteran players on this team. We want "up and comers" and "guys we really liked coming out"

Absurd.

For what it's worth, I hope you're right.

He wasn't going to be our starter because he isn't one.

I'll trust you on that, but I still hope we pick up maybe 2 of the top 4 DT FAs.

Likewise CBs.

Yeah, I hope he's a young guy the see potential in that can also play right now, but I certainly would not be satisfied if we stopped with just him. I still think we'll see and older vet. P Williams is 39 AND subject to a two game suspension. Personally I like J Williams more as he's a little younger and not in any trouble.

We still only have 4 DT's on the roster, we'll certainly pick up, at least, one more.

I'd rather have Donnie Avery than Gage, I believe.

Of course Donnie Avery was on waivers and instead of signing him, we continued to sign players who won't do anything other than occupy cap space and a roster spot.

Brilliant.

Oops, Donnie Avery is my favorite available too. Sorry, I subconsciously removed him from my options bank because I know Hurney won't f*cking look at him. Gage fits the big, slow, worthless mold we're looking for so I put him.

And I'm with you on the waiver thing... I don't get cutting a guy you've had in your camp and preseason who played well, and replacing him with a developmental project from your old team... Yet, Brandon Tate and Avery are out there to be had, all you have to do is say "yes" and no other team can do anything about it...

At the least, bring them in and see what they can do... If they don't impress, cut them... Like we'll most likely do with 3-4 of the players out of the 5 we claimed today.

Nah, I've saw several sources say he was expected to fall through waivers unclaimed because of his guaranteed base salary was around 600k, and in total by not claiming him, the Rams are on the hook for over 1m owed to him.

That's still cheap in my book, considering his production when he was healthy, so I don't get it.
