Gabbert now #3 on Jags depth chart

You guys think way too much of things. Chill out, there have been good QB's to come out of a "pro" style offense, just like there have been bad ones. People only focus on the bad ones because then they can say nothing in college matters. The spread has given us the good Sam Bradford, but has given us The Golden Calf of Bristol also, who is not even close to a good passer.

Jacksonville shouldn't be in a rush to start Gabbert. Just because you draft someone in the 1st round doesn't mean they should start, no matter what position they play.

We were told by some in the offseason Gabbert was more "NFL ready" than our own QB. Also, if our newly drafted QB was #3 on our depth chart, it would draw a lot of negative reaction towards him and an insistence he's not ready to be an NFL QB. Not to say him being #1 for us hasnt either.

You look at it all wrong. Our team was horrible last year, so it was very obvious when we drafted Newton that he would end up our starter. Jacksonville actually had some good in their team, and QB wasn't even their biggest issue in my opinion. So they grab a guy and let him sit behind two vets so he can learn. No problem with that. We had to take a different road, so the two are in very different situations.

CADE MCCOWN is ahead of Blaine Gabbert on the depth chart. I'm pretty sure that at least Cam and Derek Anderson are better than he is. So by theory, if we drafted Gabbert we'd have 2 Jimmy Clausens.

Which by coincidence is exactly what I said when people wanted him.

Cade McNown and Luke McCown morphed into each other and still couldn't beat out David Garrard
