Cam's Amazing Stats... Not Kidding

Even though Cam is 6'5 250, I don't want him running over anyone. Slide! Linebackers around the league would love to knock the #1 overall pick out of a game.

Sliding won't change that. All it does is make him defenseless for a defender to slam into his face.

Against the rules, but if they're already looking to intentionally injure him, they don't really care about the rules.

It's going to take time but those are the things I look at.

I don't care about results all year, I want him to improve. Those are things he needs to improve on in time.

your critique of Cam needs to occur 2 years from now.....what you are doing now is pointless.

You know, when you run a play it doesnt HAVE to go one way every single time. It is important that the defense KNOWS that we can go this way or we can go that way. If the result is success, then there is improvement.

Agreed! Like Harrison would hesitate to spike him while Cam would be sliding...why not. Its tackle Cam or catch poorly thrown passes from this jerk: =>:jc:

Hell even Johnny knew the rules...yet he had to sweep the leg*

*when life gives you Daniel LaRusso...you sweep it's sorry fuggin leg!

Guys, why even feed TRD at this point? He's upset that he can't look at Cam's drive and find anything wrong. So, he takes a good play (on 3rd down, no less) and finds something to bitch about.

Again, TRD, results are what matter. What, if your doctor isn't conventional and doesn't do the typical thing, but he finds the cure for your ailment, are you going to critique him or are you going to say "good job, doc. Thanks!"?

I would only go to a doctor that uses traditionally accepted methods that have been proven over decades to be successful.

Is it a coincidence that Vick ONLY went to the NFC Champ game in Atl when he had his best passing year?

Pocket didn't collapse, that's what a pocket in the NFL looks like. You must "step up in the pocket" to make throws.

Cam should know Smitty was coming right there as it looks like that was the whole play design, clear out the left and have Smith drag across.

Cam ran.

They blitzed him all out on that play. The DE was coming around the end and 2 linebackers were coming right at him until the RB took one of them out and he stepped up to his left. When Newton stepped up he saw a lane open up and nothing but green grass in front of him. On third down you get the first down and then worry about Smitty. If it were Clausen or Naderson then I agree they should have thrown the ball, but with Newton right now he was better off running. Expect to see a bunch more of it this year.

For someone questioning his accuracy, why would he throw a pass and risk a poor one throwing on the run when he can easily run for a first down. Makes no sense.
