A WR that has very weak receiving ability, but can get open and has great athletic ability is a waste. Give me a guy like Phroel, Jeffrey or Moose as 2nd reciever.

Those guys aren't available, you're a decade late.

There's nothing wrong with his "ability", he simply needs to spend more time infront of the juggs machine. It's a very correctable issue ESPECIALLY for a guy who has ONE year under his belt at WR.

Where all you last year when LaFell dropped everything under the sun? You know, the guy who's been playing WR since his pee wee days.

So little knowledge and patience these days. Not like we're going to be fighting for a playoff position, let him develop.

I hate the selection of AE more than any poster on this board.

But he is improving and improving a lot. He isn't going to get cut, he definitely isn't going to get cut and put on the PS, and he isn't going to be the #3 WR. He might pan out as the slot man next year. If he produces anything this year, it is either due to injury or solely as a PR, and if as a PR, he better fugging learn how to hold onto the ball.

If not for Hurney-a's ego, he would be cut. Same reason Everette Brown isn't cut yet either.

How can you justify cutting Edwards right now? This season is his first real opportunity to play. The Hurney comment makes no sense either. It's not an ego problem. It's common sense. You don't give up a 2nd round pick for a guy and cut him the next year. Sometimes you have to have patience.:jc:

I like AE, but I don't understand his butter fingers. QBs usually have a special relationship with the ball and have the best hands on the team. I'm thinking its a mental issue when he hears those footsteps.

He's got butter-fingers as a result of alligator arms because he can hear those footsteps behind him... he's going to need to get over that if he's ever going to be a productive WR.

Staff seems to really be giving this guy a chance to learn. This is evident by the numerous targets this preseason. I'm sure he is more disappointed than we are that he hasn't shown to be ready for a big role in the offense, but I think we see him get more opportunities. If he can keep his head and stay focused, and block out all of the negative commentary, I think he will continue to improve.
