Cutler should be a legit thought...

Means nothing really, it doesn't.

Go do some surveys around the league or around the country from fans and media types and see what they have to say about Smith.

Likewise, do it for our own Jake Delhomme, who I have to hear people call him a crybaby whiner all the time.(look at how he always cries to the ref).

Its also no surprise that almost everyone you put on there plays on defense, and one guy who he took his job...........really?

Cutler>any Panther QB in history send him this way...

Are you pulling this out of your rump, or do you think you can back that up?

By all means, see if you can find similar comments about Delhomme from former teammates and/or media that's covered him on a regular basis.

If the best you've got is fan statements, you've got nothing.

Another thing, Cutler wouldn't last hear anyways...with the way Panther fans are towards QB's, Cutler would be crying for his release before the halfway point of his first fantasy season with the Panthers.

I could totally picture him doing a Tim Couch...lol

For my money a stand up guy who makes everyone around him better is surely worth one less pass per game compared to an egotistical whiny player who is not well liked by his peers.

I agree. With QBs a big part of the battle is having your lockerroom. I think it's human nature to want to and try to do your best when you feel your boss/leader has your back. I know this: I would rather work for a boss who maybe wasn't the most talented guy in the world but who always would fight for me, take blame on himself for my errors and encourages me rather than one who may be brilliant but quits when the going gets tough and criticizes me to the CEO. I've had both kinds of boss and I know which one I wanted to knock myself out for. Football is a team sport, so I believe leadership is a big factor in the teams' performance.

In my opinion Rivers will never be better QB than Eli until he can win a Super Bowl. Rivers does not have the leadership to rally his team to win the big games.

I like Eli and I don't much care for Rivers lack of maturity on the field at times, but I don't agree with that at all. I think Rivers definitely has the respect of his teammates. So does Eli. But Rivers is the better player so far in their careers. (UGH I HATE HAVING TO SAY THAT...lol)

I am not a big Phillip Rivers' fan but I have to admit he gained my respect after his playoff performane in 2007. While LT sat out with a suspect injury, Rivers was in there doing everything he could with an injury that would have sidelined most players. Rivers can be a douche at times but you can't doubt his heart and courage. He cemented the team's loyalty with that performance.

What is the big beef with Cuttler??!!

Ok he said he has a better arm then Elway...which he does. Is he a betetr QB then Elway...of course not. He doesnt like the fact he may be traded. Should he like that?

He was a #1 pick, pro bowler and broke records.

All this BS aside...he is better then Jake !! Oh yeah....Jake never whines...I forgot

Yeah you are right.

Cutler is just awesome. Ignore that he has a losing record as a starter. (17-20), no playoff appearances, poor leadership skills, lack of respect for peers and by his peers. Look at his stats, He has a career passer rating of 87, a career Td/Int ratio of 1.45, a 62% passer rating and a YPA of 7.3.

He is so much better than Jake who has only a 60% passer rating, has a winning record as a starter of 51-35, a TD/Int ratio of 1.51, and a YPA of 7.3. Ignore that he has a playoff record of 5-3, is a team leader, has the respect of his players and coaches, great leadership skills and is not a whiner to anyone but opposing fans who have no idea what is really being said on the field. He sucked against Arizona so that wipes out everything he has done since 2003.

Cutler is so much better because he can scramble and has a strong arm. We all know that leadership and silly things such as a winning record as a starter are so less important than individual stats and how high you are drafted.

Your question doesn't follow logically. Denver is switching to a 3-4, what makes us think they would even want to spend the $$ and draft picks to get a guy like Pep who will HAVE to switch to OLB to play anywhere in a 3-4 which he has never played before. I sure wouldn't if I were a team. And if I have figured this out, I bet Hurney is way ahead of me.

If that is the case....then why wouldnt Denver being jumping at a deal for Peppers AND JAKE???

WHo says that we would be crazy enough to do a deal as stupid as that. Frankly I wouldn't trade Peppers for Cutler straight up let along give them our starting quarterback as well. I am surely glad that Hurney is runnng the show instead of some of you guys. That kind of trade is ridiculous.

Hurney wants 2 firsts or at least a first and a second or third for Peppers. I don't see Hurney giving that away for a quarterback with stats that aren't that stellar. The fact that McDaniel would have traded him for a one year starter suggests that he isn't so big on Cutler either. Cutler is a legend in his own mind.

Now come on FB, you know that those "fans" who think Pep needs to go and Jake needs to be replaced have a lot more common sense than Hurney. ;)

I figured that Hurney's public stance that they want to keep Pep may not be the one he is holding privately (and smartly so, I don't think GMs OR HCs ever owe the fans the truth on their thinking about such matters)....but I am now starting to think the opposite...he knows the market for Pep will not allow him to switch teams very easily, especially vis a vis Pep's expressed desire for a 3-4.

Jay Cutler is not a John Fox guy. He would not fit in with team, and personally I would not want to see him in a Carolina jersey.

He is self-centered and egotistical. More importantly he is not a leader. He's the type of person that when things start to go bad, he makes them worse.

Despite having the physical ability, he lacks the character to be a successful starting QB.

No thanks.
