Bo Jackson on Cam Newton

He casually enjoyed his lunch at one point during the Rome interview leading to radio silence.

Always surprises me Bo is such an off field success. The guy sounds dumb as a brick, possibly even deranged to listen to him, but there you go. Bo knows ruses.

He "sounds" dumb because he's always had a stuttering problem. Speach impediments are no indication of lack of intelligence. He seems to have done fantastic in his investments and activities post-NFL. Must be lucky.

I didn't notice a stutter and that was not what I found weird about the way he spoke. It was more his... word choice.

It's possible that's why you didn't notice a stutter. It's not uncommon for people with a stutter to elongate vowels, speak sing-songy, take odd pauses, or use odd words to prevent the stutter. Hell, "The King's Speech" was about just that.

There is a legislature at the NC General Assembly that has a stutter but is one of the most intelligent and influential members of the house.

His name is Representative David Lewis and he is so highly thought of he was the head chair of the redistricting committee which was the most important committee in the NCGA last year.
