Messi had the best single season in the last decade, he's had 3 of those. Ronaldo's (Cristiano) had 4 seasons that were similar though not quite as good. I've seen both play in person and Ronaldo is just sheer athleticism, speed and power, Messi is the most skilled football(I'm Scottish) player I've ever seen.

Zidane's career was tailing off at the start of the decade, Ronaldo (fat) was at his best pre-injury so 90's and Henry was awesome but was never in the Ronaldo/Messi class.

You're doing a disservice to Cristiano Ronaldo. He's a hell of an athlete, but he has an incredible amount of skill too.
