Tipping rules

So floppin if you go to walmart do you tip the cashier? What's the difference if you get paid atleast minimum wage you shouldn't feel entitled to a tip. Always 0 with a slash through it for me.

Every once in a while I let them take my groceries to my car because I just feel like giving money away.

I leave a dollar because:

A. I'm not poor

B. I'm not cheap

C. I've worked in restaurants before

D. Because in two weeks when I look at my CC statement, the $9 meal won't feel any different than the $8 meal I could have had w/out tipping

E. All of the above

you dont have to be cheap or poor. You do it b/c you're a softy with a big heart. Good job!

If we go to a sit down restaurant, I give at least 15% if the service is just standard... If it is good, I'll go as high as 25-30%...

I don't tip at places that you drive to and pick up your food at a counter or a window (yes, some drive thrus have a place for a tip now)...

I don't tip much for a pizza delivery... 10% if they are lucky...

I wash my own car, cut my own hair, and never go to a bathroom fancy enough for an attendant... The only time we take cabs is when I'm on vacation or something, and they'll get a standard $5-$10 depending on how far we go...

If someone doesn't give me good service for something, they'll not only not get a tip, but I'll end up with the service at a discount or free, or I'll make a mess for them to clean up after I'm gone... lol

So some very valid bullet points to sum up everyone's opinion:

*A cashier is paid to be a cashier. They are not doing anything out of the rhelm of their jobs to "work for a tip".

*Tipping should really be performed AFTER a service, and very rarely before.

*Most counter-serviced restaurants added the tip line to increase profits.

*Floppin is a ****** idiot who tips Walmart employees.

Which sucks for pizza guys since they have car maintenance and fuel costs to worry with.
