Let's get it over with and cut EB and AE

top dawg

Well perhaps some of you are right...about AE anyway. I am not trying to pick on the guys. Just am skeptical that they can cut it. Yes AE is dangerous, but he can also be a dangerous liability. I supported him while others cursed the ground he walked on (for no fault of his own, Hurney's moreso), and I will support him as long as he is still here. I am just saying that with the threat of a looming fumble every 5-10 punts, the kid ain't doing anyone any favors, especially not himself. I am curious to know what percentage of punts he has actually fumbled? I bet it ain't good.

I suppose the moral of the story is to never underestimate the love (err love-hate) for Armanti Edwards. The kid has inexplicably reached god status. I hope that he rewards his followers' optimism, and defies his detractors' skepticism. Perhaps landing somewhere in the middle will suffice.

No. He's not God. He is a good WR on our team and right now he is the 3rd best at his position. When it comes to WR, the only player you MIGHT put ahead of him is Naane, and only because he knows the system.

But I kind of agree with you on Brown, he either shows up or doesn't. But this isn't the time to call for cuts, since our Dline is stretched so thin.

I don't even think he's a good WR yet, but looking at the situation he was thrust into I think it's unfair to judge him at this point.

To his credit, he worked his ass off in the offseason and has shown remarkable improvement, but he still has a way to go.

He was drafted as a project, you don't give up on those so soon, especially given these very unique circumstances. I'd ditch LaFell before AE.

LaFell before AE? Surely you can't be serious. Are you an App State alumnus? The Saints would pick LaFell up, and, unlike Kasay, he would be kicking our ass for years to come.

OK, maybe not the Saints, but someone would. No one would pick up AE. This is his last hurrah as a legitimate starter in the NFL

I'm just not a LaFell fan, I think Gettis is far and away better and AE will be a bigger asset to the team both on offense and ST.

LaFell strikes me as lazy and has crap for hands. He was supposed to be a legit receiving option but has shown little and doesn't know how to use his size to his advantage. HE should have been the one to call Moose and seek help, but it was AE who did that.

No, I'm not an App homer and those nut jobs make me sick. However, I see far more potential and desire in AE than I do in LaFell.

Perhaps you're right about the work ethic. I don't know enough about either one. Maybe LaFell has taken things for granted more than AE (probably, simply, because he can). But in reference to hands...Weeell (think how Cowherd would say it)...it's not like Edwards' hands have the Midas touch. Sorry, but from what I've seen so far LaFell's hands > Edwards' hands, and that's being totally objective.
