Madden 12 is awful..

Judging the game by its menus and a single play by an inaccurate, rookie QB.

Seems legit.

Panthers seemed realistic.

First game I tested out Cam. 2 great deep throws for HUGE gains. Ran him a little. He really screwed me with some flat out wild throws when I tired to hit some shorter routes.

2nd game. I ran. Ran with Cam. And would go for the home run balls with Cam. He ain't Tom Brady....even on Madden. Not going to pick people apart with the little throws.

So let me get this straight, you would be totally fine playing against the Colts, knocking Payton Manning out of the game and having Curtis Painter be no different than Payton Manning. PLease don't waste our time making a thread about why you hate Madden because every player doesn't play like Payton Manning, I loved 2k5 for what it was and what it could have become but don't sit there and tell me this bs.

On top of that you bring up "Consistency" as being a reason that you hate the game when EA has stated EVERY player has the same consistency rating.

lolwut?

The game has gotten along fine in the past with the ratings system. Now they have taken the controller out of your hand completely. If i want to watch football, I will watch it, if I want to play football, I should be able to play it with out the game deciding when it's time for an interception. It's an absolutely ridiculous system that is going to make only a handful of teams usable in the passing game, while the rest of us are screwed.

Dude, I love Madden 12. First game I threw for 360 yards, 2-2 TD/Int.

Cam is a raw QB, and it shows in the game. At times his throws are waaay off, but he's a rookie man. His throwing accuracy is a bit weird too, with Cam having decent short, bad medium, and good deep. So you kind of have to game plan around this.

I had good results with passing to Olsen. He had like 150 yards receiving. Seam routes, out routes, and slants. I hot routed him most of the game to try and beat the man or zone.

DWill is your fugging friend. I didn't get a lot of yards rushing(60) but I broke a few for 10 yard gains and 1 26 yard TD. But I got tackled in the back field a few times too. But I used him for screens and as a passing option a lot. You can also motion him around a bunch to get a favorable match-up. DWill should have at least 100 total yards of offense when you play as the Panthers.

I got the ball to Smitty, but that was about it it. The WR's just plain suck sometimes. And when I tried to force a pass to a WR not named Smith, I threw 2 picks. So you have to be weary of throwing to other WR's. If they are not open, you have to accept that. Throw the ball away or quickly look for a checkdown or Olsen.

As far as the WR's go, Naanee was decent, but nothing special at all. AE is still a 63, fast, but horrible route running. I am thinking of putting Goodson in as number 4 WR instead of Lafell.

But I love this madden. There are some things you just can't do anymore though, like certain throws, throwing on the run sometimes, easily beating zone coverage. Just gotta get used to it man.

The problem we are having is that so many people are experiencing this with so many different QB's.

Clowney was even on Twitter last night saying Eli Manning and Mark Sanchez are the same way.

If you guys enjoy the game playing for you, then have it, but EA is obviously starting to feel the hurt of people not buying Madden, because the steps they have taken the past two years into simplifying the game to appeal to a larger market is becoming ridiculous.

No. I'll take the game back and wait for a real football game instead.

Fair enough dude. But you can't expect a video game to be specifically catered to you. You have to bring yourself up or down to the skill level required to play.

I would also suggest, if you are playing with friends, to adjust the skill levels. Or, if you are online, there are "communities" that play under specific skill sets. Give that a try.

And as for the dynamic player whatever, that doesn't apply to your quarterback if you are in control. If you throw a pick while your QB is affected by the DPW, its still entirely your fault. Errant throws are the affected by your QB's accuracy or throw on the run. You also have to try and lead your receivers with the analog stick, but at some times you shouldn't touch it at all.

Just my experience.

Sounds like some people should just play the game as a GM and sim the season. It does actually take a little skill to be any good and as the Panthers you can't just sit back and throw darts with Newton. A little advice, don't outrun your blockers, read the defense before snapping the ball, find the blitz and shift your line or have a back pick it up, and play to the strengths of your quarterback.

The main thing I hate about it is the commentary, it's God awful. They either say the players name wrong or just say number 12 or whatever number they are.

It's a letdown for me tbh, I just expected more...esp in the Superstar Mode...it still sucks ass.

Oh, and improved trade Logic? I traded D Williams for a 1st and 2nd round pick and a 2nd the year after.

But I will say Brandon Hogan is a fuging beast on this game.

Until EA doesn't have the license, your only hope of that happening is Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo coming out with new systems forcing EA to build the game from ground up again. Hopefully they get the base right this time unlike their mess up from PS2/Xbox to PS3/360.

As for Madden 12, I'm still resisting the urge to buy it after buying 11 last year but my will is straining. I think if I saw good Panther football on the weekends week in and out, not necessarily wins each week; just actual valiant efforts, I wouldn't be so inclined to buy Madden and provide my own good Panther football.
