If Jase can punch a toddler, I want to strangle a teenage girl

Bunny, you gotta remember the friend thing back then.

It was the END OF THE WORLD if somebody "hated" you.

With our old person status now we look at those situtations as a fugging joke, pretty much screw that friend and all her noise...but she probably doesn't see it that way.

And yeah, the self esteem thing with tween/teen girls is a thing.

I would just make my feelings about that girl VERY clear to my daughter, and encourage her to understand that a REAL friend wouldn't do things like that. Ever.

Hope things work out ok.

GRG, we've been telling our daughter the friend is jealous.

I'm really beginning to be concerned that my daughter has no self confidence. I don't understand why she continues to be friends with this girl. It's been nothing but drama since day one.

It's gonna get ugly around our house, because I'm at the point of making her cut this girl off completely. We thought things would get better when she moved away last year, but with facebook and phones, it hasn't. She's still influencing my daughter.

If you truly feel this girl is harming your daughter's well being than i would cut her off in a heartbeat. You wouldn't put up with one of her friends giving her smokes and shoplifting would you?? To me its the same principal. Sure your kid will get mad at you but as parents we deal with it.

Sounds to me like her "mom" wants to be a friend and not a parent. Seen that poo before and its never good for the kid.

She's aware of how we feel about the girl. I've also explained to her that a true friend wouldn't do the things this girl does.

Honestly, it's like my daughter is in an abusive relationship.

And I do remember what it was like when my mom tried to tell me a friend was bad news. I didn't listen to her. I at some point came to my senses, though. I hope my daughter will do the same.

To make things worse, my daughter has discovered black eyeliner. *hangs head in shame*

She looks like a damn raccoon some days. Or worse, emo. *cries*

Let's hope not. I had the good luck to meet my long-time friend's sister recently, she had her 16 year old sister accompany her for the drive across the East coast. Her sister is extremely emo, a lesbian, and willing to defend her opinions at all costs. She also hates anyone with a cock.

It was my first encounter with any kind of man-hating ***** teenager.

I'm very confused. I just don't understand this at all.

How is your daughter on facebook?

Do you keep your computer in the kitchen or the laundry room?

The girl's mother is in on it, too. She commented "LMAO" or something like that on the pic.

I'd say there's a big part of the problem.

Couldn't stand my nephew's high school girlfriend. Later learned she came by it honest.

For anyone with need of violence, I have trained attack parrots.

(the only attack animal that can also taunt their victims with Chuck Norris style taglines)

    • Strange, every news article and tweet I just searched all mentioned waivers. It is definitely his sixth year of at least 6 games. All I was trying to think of earlier was at the vet min could he beat out Bryce in camp next year lol. He's kinda got the old Darnold issue where he can obviously launch deep balls and qb run at a level Bryce will never achieve, but it sounds like he would be content being like a Josh Allen backup who doesn't throw the whole game plan out the window if he has to come in for a series or two. If we had him and for some reason still wanted to start Bryce he would kinda do what Justin Fields was doing the other night with Dangeruss, coming in for designed runs and maybe some play action/triple option rpo things to go deep. That would be so obvious and sad though. At least Russ can still sling it 40 yards in the air with a flick of the wrist
    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
