We have a mod position open...

To be a moderator is a challenging task believe it or not. Being able to tell the difference from trolling and an opinion is a must. Also being mindful of what you post makes a good moderator. When others see that you've broken the rules they feel like if he can do it so can i and that makes others feel as thoa they can do whatever they want now.

I'm humble to say that i could be one but i'm honest enough to say ive been a buthead from time to time. Two people that i think should be considered are catman and Mr Scot although i think they've been considered in the past.

I formally announce my intention to pull out of the race for a mod position. I certainly appreciate all of you supporters but after the primaries, I just feel like it's time to move on.

I do formally announce that I would be happy to accept a vice moderatorship and I will dangle all of the remaining superPAC funds out there....

I've always been a fan of letting the mods moderate. It's simpler that way and you avoid the "too many chiefs" conundrum.

I, for one, am a fan of less moderation. But if you guys are going to call it one way it is only fair to be consistent.

It's like an umpire, you can't get mad at a guy if he is calling a wide strike zone as long as he does it for everyone.

That is an infraction and is offensive. Mr.Scot implied some as being crybabies and probably got his only infraction ever, while this one poster used an obscene word and called everyone it. It doesn't bother me being called that (I've been called much, much worse), but it is troublesome to know that you can't speak your mind because a certain moderator may be having a bad day.

Announcing your intention to pull out really kills the satisfaction that comes from seeing that surprised and terrified look on her face...

I'm a fan of less moderation as well and it's part of the reason this place has the following it does. I was admin at a much more ridid site and it drove the posters away. However, there has to be a happy medium and I think we generally maintain that here.

IMO, Mr Scot wasn't specific in his post and didn't single any one person out. The rules here are too loosely enforced as it is...and that's if you can come up with an agreement as to what the actual rules are.

That's the same thing the other poster did, but in a much cruder manner.
