Star Wars: The Old Republic

Is anybody else getting this game? I've never been a big MMO fan as I'm not big into the whole D&D type setting, but I love Star Wars and this one is really intriguing to me. I got my pre-order code from Gamestop and entered it on the swtor site, but I don't even know if my laptop meets the system requirements for this game and I couldn't find them posted anywhere.

I honestly doubt a laptop can play this game. It depends. What kind of video card is in it?

Oh man my bad, I looked a few pages deep and saw nothing. It's an hp pavillion dv6 laptop. I think it has a Radeon 4650 graphics card.

I beta tested this game like 4 or 5 months ago. It looked like World of Warcraft with upgraded graphics. Don't get me wrong, you still need a beast PC to play this game becasue there is so much junk to load, but other than that its pretty much just World of Warcraft except every quest actually connects to the story. If you've ever played Mass Effect or Knights of the Old Republic tho, imagine all those dialouge choices being in the game too. Bioware did a very good job and I recommend anyone with time to play it, I can't devote time to an MMO so I probably won't be getting it tho. It will be the next biggest MMO if for no other reason that Star Wars + WoW = who wouldn't buy it?

Well it seems like the quests/raiding aspect of the game will be decent.. it's the pvp i'm worried about because its being handled by the idiots from warhammer online.

warhammer online had great pvp in many ways.

my problem is more it sounds like it'll be just another game with just more battlegrounds and no real motivation to have meaningful world pvp or organized pvp.

guild wars 2 looks great for pvp though it's still early.

The pvp in warhammer was ok in early levels, but overall it sucked because of the lag and the class imbalances.
