The Saints just signed John Kasay. Sad day in panther nation to see one of the greatest players in team history become one of the enemy.

Congrats to John and his family, but I hate the Saints.

Kind of echoes Panther Nation's thoughts.

lets say you worked at a bank for 15 years and one day they tell you that the company is going a new direction and looking for a much younger staff and they left you go. Your devestated but calm about it and know that you still have alot to offer another company if they require your services. You sit around the house a mull over whats next month with friends from your previous job who you are still close to and will be for awhile. When theres a knock on your door and another bigger and better bank says that they want to hire you because of your experience. Overjoyed you sign this new contract and join this new coorporation.

Friends call you to congratulate you and even your ex manager give you a call saying goodluck.

Remember it's just a business it doesnt mean kasay hates the panthers he just wants to make a little more money to make sure hes finacially stable to retire for his family and kids.

And still enjoy the game. He's a competitor and still has the leg and desire. Good for him. From what I've read on the Saints board, he's only missed a FG there once - when he played for Seattle. Playing at least half the season indoors will help him as well.

Elway had two rings. Huge difference.

Elway chose to retire and wasn't cut by the Broncos. He went out on his terms. I'd have hoped the Panthers would have let Kasay retire on his own. He was still one of the best kickers in the league. Just wait til Mare misses a FG and everyone on here will be clamoring for Kasay back.

I can see it now, NO @ CAR tied 24-24 with :03 remaining. Mare botches 35yd FG & Kasay drills 56yd FG in OT. o_O
