Dead Island claims to be an open-world game, but it most certainly is not, and the exploration-minded gamer will quite often find the following words on his or her screen: YOU ARE LEAVING THE PLAYABLE AREA.

yeah it's a cool game but nothing special. It's a poor mans (very poor man lol) fall out. I'd give it a solid 6.5-7 ...it's not worth buying but I'd give it a try. It's certainly worth the $8 from redbox to play it for a couple days

Yeah, that's for only MGS games for me. Certain well made platforming games too. An RPG type game once in a while as well...

Yea, I didn't think it would even approach Fallout. I love the Fallout games. Maybe it can become something greater in the future.

It clearly is. There's just certain points of the game where you think "fug, it'd be nice to have someone watching my back right now."

I'm actually not going to complete all the quests 'cos I know I'll die approximately 1k times in the city if I try.

As for kicking - it works to an extent, but if you miss one you're toast.
