The fact people refuse to support one of our players because of "XYZ" is pathetic.

We have the worst fanbase in the NFL.

there is a big difference in your definition of support and ours.

I will cheer for and support any player on the Panthers team....for I am a Panthers Fan.

That does not change my opinion that Newton was a reach....has played very poorly in the preseason....has a long way to go in his development....and is no where near ready to be a starting QB in the NFL.

I will not boo him....I will not call for his head....I will not be happy if he fails. Because if he fails, the Panthers fail.

I hope that he is everything that many people on here believe he will be...and do think that he has the skills to be good. But, he needs TIME.

I will not blindly follow anyone....I chose to think independently and assess the situation.

Or maybe they could care less as long as they identify with "their team". Its not far fetched for a team that has 4 winning seasons in 16 years. Perhaps there are other things that attract people to this team outside of "winning" which we've never done CONSISTENTLY.

Who says? I know you build a team around 3 cornerstones QB, LT and RDE. I also know dual threat College QB's are a huge risk and have a very low success rate in the NFL. I know NOT to take a guy with only 1 year of real college success (no JUCO isn't real college success no matter how badly Camites want it to be) with all the red flags.

I know for fact I could have made better decisions than Hurney and a number of other GM's. Unfortunately the NFL is a good ol boy network and there are many guys sitting in NFL teams offices that could be 10x the GM's the current ones are, but will never get that shot. And YES many fans are smarter than current GM's.

Worst fanbase? No I am just a realist and I do love the PANTHERS as a team. Do I have to love the owner, or GM, or HC, or certain players? No.

Outside observers can suck it. And Why the hell do you care what anyone outside the Panthers fan base thinks anyway?

As for as us posters saying we are better, well many are. I will try this again was matt millen worth a poo as a GM? Was Marv Levy? I can go on and on and on, but as others have stated just because you work your way through the good ol boy network, it doesn't mean you are really worth a poo.

Was Rich Kotite (sp) a good HC? Again, just because you got into a position doesn't mean you are worth a damn. So lets drop that bull poo already ok?

I back the Panthers (see I can do that too, AND add italics!) and do NOT back all the players. Nor does it say anywhere that I have to.

Woah man, I was going in solo on this and nowhere did I infer or call out another poster. Someone is extremely touchy...sheesh.

FYI, The reason I bolded that is stating that I back the team and not individual players moreso than others; the reason such a single player pledge is asinine.
