Valid, but you have to look at the big picture.

It's supposed to be fun, and fun for a mass audience of diverse people, not just a select cluster of internet a--holes.

The crap that's been going on ruins that fun for a lot of people, so better to curtail the silliness of a few than to let it be ruined for many.
