I don't think asking for members not to personally insult other members in any way effects the discourse here but in a positive way.

People can still post any opinion or opposition to opinions that they want. They can even say certain opinions are like a hobo's diarreah, indecent in the public's view but inevitably comes spewing out occasionally.

You just can't attack the poster personally who may have posted said diarrhea opinion. You cannot call posters racists. You cannot call posters idiots. You cannot call posters Falcon Fans. None of these insults are acceptable.

I've seen plenty of dumb ideas come from people I'd generally consider smart. It happens.

Again, is this really such a difficult thing to ask in a group of adults?

Personal attacks have been on the Huddle since I've been here. Yes they have gotten alot worse this past year. Problem is people go for the easy attack then debating a subject. Ive for a long time was a Jake hater while I didnt think it was a personal attack it was. What really is missing now is good debates.

What is ones person of a dumb idea is another idea of a smart idea. I wanted Brees when he was a free agent and some people argued it was a dumb idea because we had Jake. I can say now I was the smart one there. Now weinke on the other hand was a dumb idea.

Admittedly, I get bored with debates sometimes. Happens more often in the Tinderbox than it does in the Panthers forum, but either way sometimes you've just said all there is to say and if people don't get it, they just don't.

you keep talking about how I have no place complaining about the gag order in reference to the flaming. I'm not complaining. I'm analyzing. It's what I do. I go to a top tier technical school in this country. So trust me when I say that I've analyzed the current rule and concluded that in effect it is an effort to make the board friendlier where we can minimize distracting flame wars, but what will exponentially minimize these pissing matches on here more than anything else is that people stop baiting other posters with passive aggressiveness as well.

People bait each other already a lot and it's just going to make it more effective if we just put this one clear rule ahead. That means we don't have people going in and saying "don't you have a grasp of reading comprehension? read what i said dot dot dot" just so the other poster gets offended and starts spewing bile. It's not me complaining, I have no problems with restraint. You guys want to make this forum less hostile? I'm going to show you that I can help. This is how I help.:)
