That was my point. If you don't like what any poster is doing, ignoring them is a good idea. This is the internet, not real life. You don't have to associate with anyone you don't want to.

I really was starting to get tired of all the pissing matches and what not going on around here lately. it really has stopped being a fun place to come to discuss the panthers. Thank you for cracking down on it. I hope we can actually get some good debates going on here. too much trolling, not enough discussions.

well I do now...but with the sheer volume and dedication of some trolls....it causes a lot of sifting through threads now that in the past didn't have to be done. Also can cause discussions others have started to be derailed and ended.

So while true, you don't have to anything to do w/ a troll as an individual poster....trolls still impact boards and can dictate discussions for the worst.

I agree to an extent. Take TRD for example. Everyone says he is a troll and does nothing but derail threads. Now instead of having 100 post calling him a troll, if he was ignored and no one replied then the thread would continue. So yes trolls can dictate discussions, but only when people reply.

I never troll, just post my opinion which differs from the normal "I want to have Cam Newton impregnate my lady" conversations that most of the threads are.

Zod clearly stated it's okay to have a different opinion, especially one backed in facts and reason.

I already see they are not taking it serious because no less than 8 hours after the thread was created, there is a direct personal attack and/pissing match post from Teeray and it goes unnoticed.
