Cam officially starting against pittsburgh

Yeah I saw that. If that was Cam, guys like TRD would have a field day with that.

Why? It was a smart football play. TRD may not pull any punches but he'd probably just ignore it at worst, I doubt he'd insult him for not running a touchdown in given those circumstances.

He has given him props in the past... just not many.

I just don't understand why Anderson isn't in the running as a starter for us. Why are they pushing for Cam to be the starter so badly? Ticket sales is the only reason i can figure but we need to look at the big picture. Let Cam sit and learn until he's ready regardless how long it takes.

If you haven't notice Anderson is a watched up QB, who fuging sucks, the guy sat on the bench for Skelton in Arizona, that should fuging tell you something. He couldn't get the ball to one of the best WR's in the game. Enough of this "start Anderson" poo.

Is this really a surprise to anyone?

Cam proved Thursday, that he can run on NFL defenses. Remember that one? "Cam won't be able to run on NFL defenses, he'll get killed."

Like Tuck said, "He's big as poo out there."

I'm still waiting on him to show he can pass the ball on NFL defenses. :banghead: I think everyone had a feeling he would do alright in the running department.

Everyone said "Wait, till he gets to the NFL, he's not gonna be able to run it like he did at Auburn" and he did. The offensive line was horrid, and most of the time Cam can avoid the rush seen in the vid below, even if we would start Clausen he'd be injured by week 3. :cam:

Everyone said that. Really? But I get your point. Anyways I'm not sure how that little clip showed that he has progressed as a passer, but I'm sure you will find something.

It's funny how everyone blames the o-line so far in the preseason but last year EVERYONE, yeah everyone just said JC sucks. They are two different types of QB's so it's hard to compare production when Cam can run around all day, and clausen is a pocket passer.

imo he isn't running like he did at Auburn... he ran 20 times a game at Auburn and trucked over linebackers, safeties, backs, hell probably even linemen. He's not been running nearly as often in the pros, and for good reason.

I didn't want him to run much at first, but I've realized it's one of his major strengths and it's worth the injury risk for him to use it judiciously. ;)

Again Clausen hasn't 'wowed' anybody, he's shown nothing for the coaches to start Jimmy over Clausen.

How long did it take you to pull that up, to prove your point? Peyton not getting in the end zone actually did the opposite. The guy slide with no one in front of him. LOL

If you look at the clock and the number of timeouts the Raiders have, and understand football, you'd know why he took a knee.

First you say, you're waiting on Cam to show he can pass in the NFL, and now it's, your waiting to see him progress as a passer. Well, Cam has already completed passes in the NFL, in and out the pocket, and his coach says he's progressing everyday.

Why do you keep bring up Clausen in the first place? Clausen came from a pro style O, and had multiple problems with the Center QB exchange, in the regular season. Clausen threw no TD's to a WR in 10 games, and has thrown the same amount of pick 6's as he has TD's. So you see, Clausen problems were way beyond the O Line.
