They look like rookies- all of them.

Fua was a turnstile this past week. Trenches is where we're getting our asses whipped on both sides of the ball.

Haven't seen them moving down field, let alone hold a position once. I've seen McClain around the Qb a few times but not in time to make any plays. I hope its more lack of experience than anything, Ron Edwards going down in camp is hurting us badly.

Our DT situation

Signed Ron Edwards as a vet presence, tears his tricep and out for season

drafted McClain, showed flashes but he's still a rookie

drafted Fua, got bigger but he's still a rookie

Irvin comes out of nowhere but he has no real experience

and then we added Balmer but who knows what he'll turn out to be

I actually think Balmer can make the team. He wasn't terrible last year, playing out of position, and maybe this staff can push the right buttons to get his motor going. Former first rounder that we had interest in that draft. Its a long shot, but we need somethings to happen for us at DT if we don't want to get abused every Sunday.

Another problem has been DE. Norwood and Brown have been underwhelming as expected, and I haven't been all that impressed with Johnson's play but we all know what he brings. Getting Hardy in the line-up may relieve the other lineman a bit.

Balmer is physically the most impressive DT we currently got. That alone should guarantee a starting spot.
