Can Ziemba play right guard?

This may be ridiculous, but Gross has been getting a little worse the last couple years, how about moving him to guard, he's only 6'4", and having Otah and Ziemba as our OTs?

It may seem dumb to move our all pro LT to guard, but would that give us the best OVERALL offensive line?

Gross's leverage technique against bullrushers is terrible, the bigger DT's in this league would abuse him.

He's always been better off standing DE's up, and controlling them at the LOS.

Wharton made a pretty good transition to guard. I'd imagine playing inside is easier than outside.

From what I understand it's more about the physical attributes of the player. Tackles are 'longer', longer arms, longer strides, taller, generally consume more space. Guards are more compact and stout, allowing them to use leverage against big DTs as well as pull without stumbling over other players. If Ziemba can pull with his tall ass frame then I'm sure he'd be fine at G, but I doubt he can. Wharton is just a good G that can be an average T if needed.

Not sure, but since we run right-handed most of the time we need to stop experimenting with that position... Leonard Davis is still out there and we have 10 mill in cap space.

If the artist formerly known as "The Dude" is out we have nothing at RG. So a Davis would be perfect. But veterans like him will be signed after the first game.
