And like JOAT said, he's the only starting caliber player we have at that position. So, um, why would we get rid of him?

Gamble needs to stay, he's still talented. You guys have to be the only people that are saying cut your number 1 corner of 7 years (or so) after he gets beat by the number 2 pick on one perfectly thrown ball? coming off of injury? ... jesus, how am I 18 and understand this league better than full grown adults who've been watching longer.

Wait, he's actually getting paid MORE than Revis.

Gamble's contract is 6 years $53 million with $23 million guaranteed and Revis' contract is 4 years $46 million with $32.5 million guaranteed so I don't know where you got he is getting paid more.

I can't believe are ready to cut Gamble. I take that back... on this board, I can believe it, but come on man (done in Michael Irving voice). When was the last time Gamble had at a front seven that applied pressure? Also, when has he had at least one, if not two solid complimentary players in the entire defensive backfield to help? I'm not making excuses for some of his bonehead plays, but he has been dealing with the same issues that Smith has on offense. Defenses roll over to Smitty making him less effective on offense, and Gamble has to shoulder more of the burden because the personnel on the field often leave him on an island. Again, I've seen enough of Gamble's whiffs and overplaying to make me a little nauseous, but the dude is still a starter. Give him some help overtop in coverage and some decent pressure up front and he's pushing the pro bowl again.
