the only reason they are going to keep Gamble is b/c of the point in the previous post.

he made one play in the Cincy game, scooping up a fumble that was basically handed to him and then got up and started doing some idiotic jungle dance.

He was getting abused by a rookie allllllllll game.

Gamble sucks

Getting burned by AJ Green is as embarrassing as a cheetah beating you in a foot race. Just sayin'. Your knee-jerk reaction to this is ridiculous.

I will say, I hate the way Gamble played last year and this last game. He needs to pick it up and show us the playmaker he showed his first 3 seasons.

Gamble hasn't played well since he signed his big contract a couple years ago. Him getting considerably outplayed by a rookie in his third NFL game should speak volumes on how far Gamble has fallen.

Him quitting on the team last year was unacceptable and really showed his true character.

He will make the team based solely on the fact that we are super thin on corner.

Those plays against AJ Green were his first game snaps in a year and a half and first in a new system and first since being sick to the point he lost 10 pounds. If Gamble isn't on the field against GB I promise they score 70. If he continuously looks lost all year then you cut him before the year is up. Give him some time.

It's not really ALL about speed at the corner position...hence the reason Charles Woodson is slow for a corner, but still considered one of the best bc of the way he can redirect receivers and anticipate. That said, its not like AJ green is a burner, he ran a 4.5 40, not exactly spectacular by any stretch of the imagination. For reference, Brandon Lafell rand a 4.54, and he looks incredibly slow on the field.

I like Gamble but what was his deal the other day... he looked like a d-lineman running after a wide out, what's up... Green is not that bad is he?

    • Will he keep this up? Who knows. He's had a few decent and one good game. If he keeps trending in this direction I think we go with a veteran and late round development QB if one falls we really like. If he reverts back to early season play, I wouldn't mind earlier investment in a QB because he has had a lot of time to show consistency.
    • Sounds a lot like the clusterfug we had last year with Reich. Poor leadership loses the team. Poor leadership will cost you your job.
    • According to multiple players and staffers in the locker room, some players were asking why Eberflus didn’t call a timeout. Other players got going, too. “Guys were furious,” a staff member said. “It was an accumulation of this season.” “The locker room was ugly,” another staffer said. “There was a lot of yelling.” Said the first player: “We felt as players it’s been too many instances where we fought our way back into games to lose because of bad time management and decision-making.” Multiple sources added that the emotions were so high between the players and their head coach that Eberflus left the locker room immediately after his speech and the exchange with players. There was nothing left to say. It was a moment for this Bears team that would inevitably force chairman George McCaskey into something the franchise had never done before. By Friday morning, Eberflus was out — but not before the team decided to have him address the media over Zoom just after 9 a.m. Two hours later, he was gone. The Bears made it official by sharing statements from general manager Ryan Poles and president/CEO Kevin Warren.
