I understand what you are sayin'. when the season starts we will run plays to showcase his abilities more and hopefully he will have more success. And I know there were no ota's and all that stuff. I would just would like to see a little accuracy improvement from week to week. And that has not been there.

Shouldn't you at the very minimum give a qb at least 1 REGULAR season game before calling him a bust or not living up to the hype. I mean I know thats asking a lot and maybe wanting to be over generous but come on now

This was pretty much a regular season game. Of course there should be some improvement in the next two weeks but am I wrong to not expect him to go from this to "revolutionizing the game" between now and the season opener?

Oh and where exactly did I call him a bust? I just said AS OF RIGHT NOW, he isn't what it was said he would be going into the draft.

I was being awfully sarcastic there and by saying you judge based on the 3rd preseason game basically discredits all of your points. Lets be honest, good or bad you can't evaluate until a full nfl season is played really and you see him in EVERY single situation. Now that would be objective. Now go ahead and find some hole in this response to make a thin defense with.

So I can't judge how good he is right now on how he played last night?

Ya you can judge but you can't make final judgements that are worthy of running to the internetz and proclaiming he isn't living up too his potential due to some games that don't even count. Lets let him get some work in the nfl on his resume first.

You should also take me serious because I could be your dad.

Hah! Some of the comments on this thread are laughable. "I'm not giving up on him yet..." Thank Goodness some of you guys aren't giving up on him yet. I mean after a total of 4 quarters in the NFL you would think that his time has run out! This is why fans are perceived as ignorant...

This kid is not going to be good this season. Get used to it. He isn't taking us to the superbowl, the playoffs or probably even a winning record...especially not with the piss poor defense we are fielding and the suspect OL he is playing behind....oh yeah and the fact that he had about a week of training camp.

He is probably going to be a 50% passer at the beginning and will hopefully improve as the season goes along. That is all we can ask for...that every game he gets better. If you are expecting more than that then come back to reality.

And no...I'm not in the camp that thinks he needs to sit and learn. He needs to get out there and play because the NFL is about winning and he gives us the best chance to win. Nobody is going to break this kid's spirit..He knows he's in for a battle.
